Biography
Paris Hilton born as Paris Whitney Hilton on February 17th, 1981 in New York City is a great multi-faceted American personality. Born of father Richard Hilton and Kathy Hilton, Paris is the oldest of the four children born in the family. The other three younger ones are sister Nicky Hilton and brothers Barron Hilton II and Conrad Hilton III.
She is an actress, model and a recording artist. Above all she is a celebrity socialite hailing from a famous business house, which deals in real estates and runs a chain of Hilton Hotels across the world. Her childhood was spent in palatial dwellings in the priciest neighborhoods on both coasts and featured a brief flirtation with the educational system, including high schooling at the ultra-exclusive only-for-the-richest Dwight School, from which she dropped out and ultimately earned her high school GED.
By the time she turned nineteen, she became a celebrity model having signed with prestigious modeling agencies such as T Management, Ford Models, Donald Trump's modeling agency, Nous Model Management, Models 1 Agency and Premier Model Management both from London. The hi-fi supermodel has appeared in a number of advertising campaigns and effectively endorsed the brands like Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Marciano, Iceberg Vodka and GUESS.
For her 21st birthday, she threw five parties for herself in New York, Las Vegas, London, Hollywood and Tokyo.
Hilton began since then a remarkable and well-financed campaign to put herself in the public eye, on screen, on television and in music. This effort has included a substantial amount of physical alteration. A naturally pleasant-looking girl, Hilton underwent extensive plastic surgery, hair coloring and tinted contact lenses in her attempt to reinvent herself as "hot". Sadly, money could not buy alteration of the physical attribute she most dislikes about herself: her exceptionally-large feet.
Discography
Hilton founded Heiress Records, a sub-label of Warner Bros. Records, in 2004 and released her self-titled debut album, Paris, under that label on August 22, 2006. Although the album reached number six on the Billboard 200 for a week, its total sales volume has been low.
On July 16, 2007 Hilton confirmed that she was working on a new album with producer Scott Storch. In a recent interview with MTV, Hilton decided that her second album is going to be a dance album. She stated that she "loves Bob Sinclair" and wants to create dance-music vibe. Hilton has installed a professional recording studio in her house to work on the album. At a meet and greet in Montreal, Hilton stated that her album is to be released sometime in 2008.
Filmography
It has even been argued that the infamous home video of Hilton with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, in which Hilton performs explicit romantic activities with Rick Salomon, was part of this campaign as well. If it was, it worked. For better or for worse, it made Hilton a household name overnight, and was even widely marketed as a video, One Night in Paris
Paris played a bit parts in movies such as Zoolander, Wonderland, The Cat in the Hat and guest-star roles on TV shows such as "The O.C." and "George Lopez", but later more substantial roles in horror flick "House of Wax", the direct-to-DVD "Bottoms Up" and her own TV show, the fish-out-of-water reality series "The Simple Life"
One night in Paris
One Night in Paris is a sex video with Paris Hilton and her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon engaging in sexual relations. The video was released shortly before Hilton's TV series The Simple Life debuted, causing a media sensation. Salomon originally sued Hilton for defamation when Hilton claimed publicly that she didn't know what she was doing during the taping of the video. Hilton also sued Salomon over the release of the tape, but settled out of court in July 2005. According to reports, Hilton was awarded up to $400,000 and planned to donate a percentage to charity. However, in a 2006 interview with GQ magazine, she stated: "I never received a dime from the video. It's just dirty money and Salomon should give it all to some charity for the sexually abused or something."
